Here is an artist who deserves every success coming their way. Raye is a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame after featuring on the smash singles “You Don’t Know Me” by Jax Jones and “By Your Side” by Jonas Blue. Despite her young age, Raye has already worked in the music industry for over a decade and collaborated with numerous well-known artist such as David Guetta, Joel Corry, Rudimental, Disclosure and D-Block Europe, to name a few. She has written for the biggest artists in the world, such as Beyoncé, Khalid, John Legend, Ellie Goulding and Diblo. The four-time BRIT nominee, Raye is one of the most streamed artists in the world with over 3 billion streams of her music.
Even with her various achievements, Raye’s former record label, who she signed with in 2014, was reluctant to release her debut album, even though it was a 4-album deal. This unfair treatment eventually led to Raye leaving the label. As a result, she was finally able to release her long-awaited debut album “My 21st Century Blues” as an independent artist in February 2023. The album features the smash hit “Escapism.”, which peaked at number one in the UK Singles Chart and became Raye’s first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
