Yeboyah, the Helsinki based rapper, was first stated as one of the most interesting new artists already in 2017, after she released her self-published debut singe “Broflake”. Her previous studies in classical piano and DJ gigs e.g. for Sini Sabotage were a natural stepping stone for Yeboyah to start making her own music. Her debut EP “Elovena” was released in July 2019 together with a visual EP. The visual side of the project included some Finnish equality influencers which strongly supports the story told by the EP. The project earned Yeboyah a well deserved nomination as Newcomer of the Year in the Emma Awards (Finnish Grammy Awards).
In 2021 Yeboyah released her highly anticipated debut album “Perhosefekti” including singles “Mitä tarviit”, “Kredi”, and “Just se”. She recently released another EP “Yebo& EP”, which includes five songs of her life and each song has a guest appearance by another artist. The EP features her latest single release “10x” featuring Slani, The EP is an ode to working together, a corner stone in the rap and hip hop scene.
In addition to her own material, Yeboyah has featured with artist such as Gasellit, Pihlaja and Hassan Maikal. This talented artist with a distinct and strong live presence has already performed at some of the biggest festivals in Finland and sold-out clubs. This will be Yeboyah’s first solo appearance at Blockfest, the biggest hip-hop festival in the Nordics.
