Safety

The safety team working at the festival area consists of hundreds of employees, including security guards, first aid staff, and “Miten menee” support persons specialized in mental health, substance abuse work, violence and sexual violence. There are hundreds of security guards spread throughout the event area, always ready to help, even if they are not immediately visible. If you need assistance, you can always find security guards in front of the stages, at the first aid tent and at the festival gates.

Security guards have the right to remove the wristband from any attandee who is excessively intoxicated or causing disturbances through repeated inappropriate behavior, at their discretion. In such cases, the festival is not obligated to refund the ticket or package price to the attandee.

Please follow the instructions given by event organizers and staff.

AGE CHECK

All festival attendees will undergo an age verification check at the festival gates. Age must be proven with a valid photo ID, passport, or driver’s license. Entry to the festival area is not allowed without a valid photo ID.

Valid photo identification documents that are accepted:

  • Identity card.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Passport.

SECURITY CHECK

At the festival gates, the contents of bags and backpacks will be checked. To ensure a smooth entry, please leave large bags and backpacks at the cloakroom or at home. The security guard will perform a physical inspection to ensure that no prohibited items or substances are brought into the festival area.

During the physical inspection, you will be asked to spread your arms to the sides for a hand surface check. In addition to touching your hands and arms, please be aware that the security guard may lightly touch areas such as your shoulders, chest, waist, back, legs, or other parts of your body. The security guard will conduct the inspection with respect for you. If you have any special needs or concerns, please inform the security guard before the inspection begins.

The security guards at the gate will make the final decision on whether an item or substance poses a safety risk in the festival area. Prohibited items or substances will be collected during the security check for disposal and will not be returned after the festival.

Please be aware of possible lines and longer wait-times at the entrances and during major artists’ performances and arrive on time.

CROWD SURFING AND MOSH PITS

Crowd surfing and sitting on shoulders are prohibited for safety reasons.

Please be mindful of others in the mosh pits. Mosh pit etiquette dictates that anyone who falls should be helped up immediately. Ensure that the person who fell is okay. Those standing at the edges of the pit should help those who have had enough to reach safety among the rest of the crowd. Respect your fellow festival goers decision if they choose not to participate in the mosh pit.

It’s important to be aware that moshing involves quite a bit of physical contact, and this is part of the experience. However, it is not a fight! The goal is to have fun and release energy.

EARPLUGS

Be sure to protect your hearing! Earplugs can be bought in the area.

SMOKING

Smoking is permitted in the designated smoking areas within the festival area. Precise locations are shown on the area map.
