The one and only 21 Savage is coming to Blockfest in 2024!
Born in London, Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, known by his stage name 21 Savage, moved to Atlanta with his mother at the age of seven, growing up alongside his 10 siblings.
21 Savage’s breakthrough project was the collaborative EP with Metro Boomin, who performed at Blockfest in 2023, titled “Savage Mode” (2016). Recognized with multiple Grammy nominations, 21 Savage’s album, “I Am > I Was” (2018), was his first project to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, featuring the hit “A Lot” (feat. J. Cole), which won the Best Rap Song Grammy Award in 2020.
In 2022, he and Drake released their highly anticipated collaborative album, “Her Loss,” and in January 2024, Savage dropped his highly anticipated solo album, “american dream.”
21 is currently nominated for five 2024 Grammy awards including Best Rap Album (Her Loss), Best Rap Song (“Rich Flex” featuring Drake), Best Rap Performance (“Rich Flex” featuring Drake) and Best Melodic Rap Performance (“Spin Bout U” featuring Drake; and “Sittin’ on Top of the World” with Burna Boy).
Constantly called on by hip-hop’s finest — J. Cole, Young Thug, Future, Cardi B — Savage comes off as your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper and today, 21 Savage is listened to by over 57 million people monthly on Spotify. 21 Savage, who recently acquired dual citizenship, is finally free to travel the world, and his upcoming performance at Blockfest will be his first in Finland.
