Located in the heart of Tampere (Ratina Stadion), the festival area is easily accessible via public transport from all over Finland – we encourage all our guests to use public transport to commute to and from the festival!

There are several ways to get to the festival area. Please read our tips below to help you plan your travels in advance.




Bicycle parking area is located in Sori square (Sorin aukio). When riding a bike, please take care on local roads and watch for pedestrians!

Please note, bicycle parking is at your own risk, Blockfest is not responsible for any damage or theft.

Tampere Regional Transport

Tampere regional transport, Nysse, operates local buses and trams. Tickets are easily available for purchase through the Nysse mobile application. See Nysse webpage for further information about bus and tram timetables, routes, and fares.


Taksi Tampere offers taxi services in Tampere region. Book a taxi by calling 0100 4131 or use the Taksi Tampere mobile application. Download the app and register as a user free of charge before the festival weekend for easy taxi bookings! You can reach an accessible taxi from the number 0100 4531.


Tampere Bus Station for inter-city bus services is located just a few hundred meters from the festival area. See walking directions from Google Maps.


There is no separate parking area organized by the Festival near the event area. You can check the parking spaces in the center of Tampere here.


Tampere Central Railway Station is only 700 meters from the festival area. See walking directions from Google Maps. Check out additional train shifts for the Blockfest weekend at: 


Tampere-Pirkkala Airport is located approximately 15 kilometers from the festival area. Public transport and taxis operate from the airport to Tampere city center.

Helsinki Airport, the busiest airport in Finland, is about a two hour drive from Tampere city center. Trains and buses depart from Helsinki Airport to Tampere frequently.



All entrances are accessible and paved with asphalt. We recommend using the Laukontori bridge entrance, especially when arriving with a personal assistant. Exclusive- or Flex-ticket customer can go straight to EXCLUSIVE & FLEX entrance to festival area.

Blockfest is a festival for adults only. People under 18 years of age are not permitted in the festival area in any circumstances, not even with a legal guardian.

All festival guests must prove their age upon wristband exchange and entry with an official and valid photo ID.



The festival has three entrances and arrival to the area takes place according to ticket types as follows:

  • RATINA = All ticket types.
  • LAUKONTORI = All ticket types + recommended accessible entrance and assistant tickets.
  • EXCLUSIVE & FLEX =  Exclusive and Flex tickets only.

All ticket types (pdf, mobile, and physical) are required to be exchanged to wristbands before coming to festival area.

PLEASE NOTE! In addition to a wristband, a ticket and a valid photo ID is required for age limit control both at the wristband exchange and at the entrance to the festival. Please ensure your photo ID is valid during the festival weekend.



A security check is conducted at all entrance gates, during which the security officials make final decisions on whether an object is a safety risk in the festival area.

Prohibited items are removed at the time of the security check. Blockfest has zero tolerance for violating the safety rules. The security officials have the right to refuse entry to the festival area if safety rules are violated. Blockfest is not responsible to refund tickets in such instances.

Please carry your entrance ticket and a valid photo ID with you throughout the event for age limit control!

Valid photo identification documents that are accepted:

  • Identity card
  • Driver’s license
  • Passport

Please note! The festival area has CCTV in operation, and videographers and photographers record and shoot photos for marketing purposes.



With all Blockfest tickets you get wristband, which allows you to go back and forth from the area.

PLEASE NOTE! You will have to go through a security check again at each entrance, which may cause congestion at the entrances. Please keep your ticket and ID with you, you may be asked for these when you come back to the area. If the customer is too intoxicated or fails to follow the instructions and conditions, the staff has the right to deny access to the festival area. In this case, the festival is not obligated to compensate the customer for the price of the ticket or package.



  • SLR cameras, camcorders, sound recorders and selfie sticks (only accredited photographers may bring these)
  • Pets (with the exception of official guide dogs)
  • Umbrellas
  • Cans, jars, glass bottles (does not apply to perfume bottles)
  • Alcoholic beverages, drugs, e-cigarette liquids
  • Non-alcoholic drinks (not even unopened)
  • Camping chairs
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and electric mopeds
  • Radiophones
  • Firearms, blades, knives, sharp rivet belts, and any other dangerous objects
  • Hairspray bottles and other aerosols
  • Multipurpose tools
  • Drones
  • Other dangerous objects and/or substances to harm people or property
  • Fireworks, explosives and laser pointers



  • Mobile phone, a small digital camera, film camera or a GoPro
  • Small snacks (candy, biscuits, fruit)
  • Empty, up to 0.5 L transparent bottle (no glass)
  • Prescription medication or other medical aids. Please ensure to bring prescriptions or other certificates with you.
  • Sunscreen – a 50 ml unopened container of suncream
  • Raincoat or a disposable raincoat. Please note, umbrellas are not permitted.
  • Powerbank
  • Hand sanitizer – max 100 ml
  • Perfume
