Blockfest’s lineup has been enriched with both international top names and numerous domestic artists, and the festival’s day-to-day performer schedule is now released. Ticket sales are currently ongoing at Tiketti and Ticketmaster.
On August 16th and 17th, at the festival held at Tampere’s Ratina, audiences will witness for the first time ever in Finland, the arrival of American rap icon Meek Mill (US), three-time Grammy winner Killer Mike (US), and rising star in the genre, Teezo Touchdown (US).
Among the domestic artists joining the lineup are Turisti, dubbed Finland’s best stage performer, MELO representing a completely unique genre, Ege Zulu & Orchestre who charmed festival crowds last summer, iconic Finnish rap duo Lyttä & Tohtori Getto, TUULI who has turned a new page on their career, SHRTY who seamlessly blends different genres, rapidly rising to the forefront of Finnish rap music Senya, recently releasing the joint EP “HAHAHA,” Ares & Bizi, the fresh Oulu-based underground music collective D1VARI, and jambo who recently released their second album.
Meek Mill (US):
The legendary Meek Mill, who released new music in the form of the “HEATHENISM” EP in February, is one of the most influential artists of his generation. Making his first-ever appearance in Finland, the artist who shaped today’s rap sound is known for numerous hits such as “I’m a Boss” (feat. Rick Ross), “R.I.C.O” (feat. Drake), and “Going Bad” (feat. Drake).
Killer Mike (US):
Critically acclaimed Atlanta-native Killer Mike is a true legend in the world of hip-hop. The artist swept all the major rap categories at the 2024 Grammy Awards and won awards for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album with his album “MICHAEL.” Released in 2023, the album is his sixth solo album and the first solo album in over a decade. Since 2011, Killer Mike has been part of the duo Run the Jewels.
Teezo Touchdown (UK):
Hailing from Texas, Teezo Touchdown is undeniably one of the hottest new talents today. With his unique style breaking boundaries, Teezo creates an exciting futuristic sound, blending hip-hop, R&B, punk, and pop. Teezo Touchdown has collaborated with many of the world’s most famous rap artists, including Drake, Travis Scott, and Tyler The Creator.
