Shrty, a rapper and producer based in Eastern Helsinki, is one of the pioneers of merging new wave European sounds with Finnish music. Combining melodic trap, R’n’B, and afroswing, Shrty has established his place in the Finnish music scene in a short time both as a rapper and a producer. Working closely with the biggest Finnish names, he is known for the hits “Sun takii” and “16v” featuring Gettomasa. In 2023 he released his awaited second album “TÄYDELLINEN AJOITUS” which includes the hit song “Pariisin kevät” featuring Joalin. The smash hit reached the number one spot on Spotify’s Top 50 chart.
Shrty has performed at Blockfest in 2018 as a guest of another artist Kingfish, and most recently as part of his former hip-hop duo Cavallini & Shrty. This will be Shrty’s first solo gig at Blockfest, the biggest hip-hop festival in Nordic countries.
